AMMAN: Director General of the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO), Abeer Al-Zuhair, on Saturday received Director General of the Palestine Precious Metals Stamping and Control Directorate Adel Azzouni. The meeting covered JSMO testing and stamping gold jewelry, cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two parties in this field. According to JSMO a statement, Al-Zuhair lauded the deep-rooted ties with Palestine, especially through the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding in several fields. She explained the JSMO's Precious Metals Department role in controlling gold jewelry and providing services to ensure the quality and conformity of precious metals: Platinum, gold, and silver to legal calibers, and conducting tests and stamping using state-of-the-art equipment. The Palestinian delegation toured the departments' sections and laboratories over the course of two days, commending JSMO's great development in this field, whether in terms of human technical cadres, or in terms of devices, equipment and laboratories.
