Amman: The Jordanian government strongly condemned recent Israeli statements opposing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its national territory and calls for its creation on Saudi land. The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described these remarks as inflammatory and a clear violation of international law, relevant United Nations resolutions, and state sovereignty.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Qudah criticized Israel's continued provocative policies and rhetoric, stressing that such statements reflect an exclusionary and hostile approach that undermines regional stability. He reaffirmed Jordan's categorical rejection of these remarks and called on the international community to condemn them.
'Jordan stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia against these statements,' he added, urging international actors to take a firm position against irresponsible rhetoric that threatens peace efforts. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that Israel's attempts to divert attention cannot obscure the core issue of the ongoing occupation and the violation of Palestinian rights.
He reiterated that the Palestinian people remain committed to their right to establish an independent, sovereign state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, an essential prerequisite for lasting security, peace, and stability in the region. He also called for an immediate halt to Israeli escalations in the occupied West Bank, pointing out continued incursions, settlement expansion, and land confiscation.
