According to Saudi Press Agency, stretching along the Red Sea coast, the waterfront boasts expansive green spaces, a national celebration plaza known as the Flag Square, and a variety of sports fields, making it an ideal venue for family and social activities. A seaside promenade, measuring 2,600 meters in length and 30 meters in width, is designed for walking while enjoying the breathtaking natural views. The waterfront also features six recreational play zones, a cultural street that hosts artistic events, and 80,000 square meters of parking space, all of which enhance its appeal and provide visitors with an enjoyable experience.
Surrounding the waterfront are markets, upscale restaurants and caf©s, and luxury hotels, providing visitors with diverse options for delicious meals and refreshing drinks, enriching their tourism experience with added elegance and comfort.
The waterfront is currently witnessing high foot traffic from picnickers and visitors, thanks to the municipal services that contribute to the integration of environmental, economic, investment, and tourism elements.
Jazan Municipality is actively working on developing the waterfront promenade by constructing new sports tracks to enhance the visitor experience and provide an ideal environment for sports activities. The ongoing upgrades also include dedicated children's play areas to ensure safe and enjoyable spaces for families, as well as shaded and comfortable seaside seating areas that allow visitors to relax by the sea with stunning natural views. Retail outlets have also been designated to meet visitors' needs for food and beverages.
