Jeddah: Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today between the Volunteerism and Community Partnership Program 'Lenobadir' in Jeddah Governorate and the Environment Fund. The MoU aims to achieve the National Environment Strategy by supporting research, innovation, and development in the environment and meteorology sectors, and by promoting environmentally friendly practices among individuals, economic sectors, and environmental organizations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement seeks to enhance environmental protection plans, activities, and initiatives in Jeddah Governorate. It also aims to foster cooperation on projects of mutual interest that advance the governorate's developmental goals and explore opportunities for collaboration on community initiatives to raise environmental awareness.
Additionally, the MoU includes studying ways to stimulate the environmental sector and related research within the governorate, encourage investments, technologies, and eco-friendly practices, and share expertise and information to facilitate joint efforts.
The 'Lenobadir' program is committed to enhancing community participation and providing opportunities for individuals and entities from the public and private sectors to support environmental and social development objectives.
