Jeddah to Host FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Draw on Tuesday

Jeddah: The Asian Basketball Confederation has announced that the draw ceremony for the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asia Cup 2025 will be held on Tuesday, April 8, in Jeddah, ahead of the tournament scheduled in August.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony will be attended by FIBA Asia President Dr. Govindaraj, FIBA Asia Executive Director Hagop Khajirian, and Saudi Basketball Federation President Dr. Ghassan Tashkandi.

The tournament will showcase 16 national teams divided into four levels. Level one includes Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. Level two features Iran, Lebanon, China, and the Philippines. Level three consists of Jordan, Korea, Syria, and Chinese Taipei. Level four includes India, Qatar, Guam, and Iraq.

Each group will include one team from each level, totaling four teams per group. The top team from each group will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the second and third-placed teams will compete in knockout matches to determine the remaining four quarterfinal spots.
