Jeddah Airports Company Showcases Major Development Projects at Hajj Conference

Jeddah: Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO) is showcasing its latest development projects at the fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in cooperation with the Pilgrim Experience Program. JEDCO's pavilion highlights the airport's efforts to enhance service quality and streamline operational procedures during peak seasons. The company has served more than 175,000 pilgrims through the Makkah Route Initiative and 206,000 pilgrims under the Passengers with No Bags initiative. Additionally, JEDCO has facilitated the shipment of over 483,000 bottles of Zamzam water on return flights.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the pavilion also showcases the airport's technological advancements, including the installation of 70 electronic passport gates, 46 smart boarding pass readers, and the introduction of self-service baggage check-in stations and digital tracking systems. These developments have driven a significant increase in passenger traffic, with the airport recording 25.5 million travelers in the first half of this year, representing a 6.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
