JCDC, US Naval Medical Research Unit talk cooperation

Head of the Jordanian National Center for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC) Raeda Qutb discussed joint cooperation with a delegation from the United States Naval Medical Research Unit, headed by Captain Virginia Blackman.

According to a JCDC statement on Tuesday, the meeting tackled future areas of work on communicable diseases, especially acute respiratory diseases, vector-borne diseases and hospital infections and their link to germs resistant to antimicrobials, in addition to the center’s goals and tasks and its work strategy.

The meeting also tackled cooperation and the joint mechanism of action related to the prevention and control of communicable diseases and epidemics, as well as research.
