Jazan Municipality Enhances Parks and Waterfronts for Summer Visitors

Riyadh: As part of its preparations for the summer holiday season, the Jazan Municipality has readied more than 268 public parks, 24 waterfronts, and 234 pedestrian walkways across Jazan Region's governorates and centers. The initiative aims to enhance quality of life and provide integrated recreational and tourism destinations that support tourism activity and reinforce Jazan Region's position as an attractive year-round destination.

According to Saudi Press Agency, spokesperson for the Jazan Municipality, Fahd bin Saad Al-Ahmari, stated that the preparations reflect the significant development of public facilities across the region. He noted that Jazan benefits from a diverse natural landscape encompassing the Red Sea coastline, mountain highlands, valleys, and agricultural plains.

He mentioned that this diversity has made Jazan Region a tourism destination that attracts visitors from within and outside the region, particularly during the summer holiday season. The waterfronts offer a range of amenities, including walking paths, seating areas, children's play zones, restaurants, caf©s, and supporting services. These facilities provide an ideal setting for recreation and relaxation while offering visitors an integrated leisure experience that showcases the natural attractions of Jazan Region.

He also emphasized that these efforts strengthen Jazan Region's position as an attractive tourism destination while supporting tourism and economic activity. Additionally, he urged residents and visitors to preserve public facilities and report any observations through the Unified Reports Center (940), noting that such actions would help maintain the urban landscape and ensure the sustainability of public facilities.
