Jazan Highlights Environmental Diversity, Sustainability Efforts during Environment Week

General

Jazan: Jazan Region stands out as one of the Kingdom's richest areas in environmental diversity. It combines abundant natural resources with growing sustainability efforts during Environment Week.

According to Saudi Press Agency, its ecosystem spans the Red Sea coastline. It extends through the Farasan Islands archipelago, known for coral reefs and biodiversity. It also reaches the mountainous highlands of Fayfa and Bani Malik, where dense vegetation and terraced agriculture reflect a long-standing relationship between people and the land.

Coinciding with Environment Week, the region is witnessing coordinated efforts by relevant entities. These include tree-planting campaigns, vegetation development projects, beach cleanups, and community awareness programs. These initiatives promote environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Through its participation, Jazan reinforces that environmental protection is a shared responsibility. It requires integrated efforts between government institutions and the community to preserve natural heritage and ensure its sustainability for future generations.
