The diriyah: Biennale Foundation has announced the return of the JAX Ramadan Market, starting from Thursday, February 26, and running through Saturday, March 7. The market will bring together local cuisines, cultural programming, and creative activities, offering visitors an authentic experience set within an atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the market will be spread across several locations within the JAX District. The main market passage will feature vendor kiosks and food and beverage experiences, along with dedicated spaces for photography and relaxation. The diverse kiosks will offer traditional and contemporary Ramadan foods, including jareesh, saleeg, luqaimat, mutabbaq, and samboosa, as well as beverages, fresh juices, sweets, and dates.
For 10 days, the market will also host an interactive cultural program for visitors of all ages, featuring storytelling sessions, traditional games, and henna artistry. Retail kiosks will feature a curated selection that includes ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, beauty products, and gifts.
The JAX Ramadan Market will activate JAX District's public spaces with a skate park where competitions, performances, and group lessons will take place, along with design workshops and interactive sessions that combine youth culture with contemporary art.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2026, titled "In Interludes and Transitions," and to explore the surrounding galleries, exhibition spaces, and open studios of some of Saudi Arabia's most prominent artists.
The JAX Ramadan Market serves as an open, living neighborhood dedicated to cultural engagement and interactive experiences that bring creativity into everyday life.
The market will be open daily from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale will be open until 1:00 AM.
