Mina: The Jamarat facility in Mina stands as one of the largest engineering and operational projects at the holy sites, designed to manage crowd movement and facilitate the stoning ritual with the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency during the Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season, Kidana Development Company is undertaking maintenance and upgrade works at the facility. This effort is part of a comprehensive plan to enhance infrastructure efficiency and strengthen readiness to serve pilgrims.
The facility operates through an integrated system that includes 340 escalators and 682 surveillance cameras, ensuring smooth movement and monitoring of crowd density. Additionally, 228 golf carts are available to support the movement of pilgrims and staff within the site.
For safety measures, the Jamarat facility is equipped with advanced fire protection systems. This includes 295 fire hydrants, 1,078 fire extinguishers, and more than 3,350 automatic sprinklers, all contributing to enhanced response speed and overall safety levels.
The Jamarat facility remains a key development landmark in the holy sites.
