Riyadh: CEO of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) and member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Eng. Adeeb Al Aama met yesterday with Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Sherif Farouk, in El-Alamein City, as part of ongoing efforts to support food security and strengthen partnerships.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting addressed the importance of close cooperation and strategic partnerships in enhancing food-security systems and financing the import of key food commodities such as wheat and sugar.
Eng. Al Aama praised the strong cooperation between the ITFC and the Egyptian ministry, noting that total approved trade financing has exceeded $7.5 billion for the supply sector since the beginning of the partnership, mainly to support the import of essential foodstuffs.
