Israeli Occupation Launches Genocidal War in Gaza, Palestinian Prime Minister Confirms

Ramallah, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh described the situation unfolding in Gaza Strip as a genocidal war, adding that the war threatens thousands of children and patients in hospitals where fuel is about to run out, with facilities still being off-grid, along with shortage of medicines and food for the seventh consecutive day at a time Gaza inhabitants are being exposed to a killing machine and Israeli criminality, he said.

Shtayyeh indicated that what is happening in Gaza must trigger action on the part of those with live conscience and human rights advocates to halt the killing and forced displacement, as well as rescue those trapped under the lava of death, he said, adding that the least one can say about these crimes is that they are crimes against humanity, mass killings and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and Geneva charters.

The Israeli occupation and colonizers are perpetrating crimes across all Palestinian territories in Gaza, Tulkarm, Al Jalazoun, Nour Shams, Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, Jerusalem, Hebron, Jericho, Bethlehem, Tubas, and Qalqilya, and everywhere. He said the voice of global conscience and world nations have loudly expressed rejection of these crimes but must be heard by protectors of Israel.

He greeted all voices that have spoken out for freedom for Palestinian people and called on world nations to continue supporting the rights of Palestinians and stopping the aggression, asserting that what is being circulated about the impending ground incursion by the Israeli occupation implies the persistent commission of new crimes, forced displacement, murder and revenge.

He affirmed that the international community is responsible for halting the war and aggression, in addition to getting relief items into Palestine, protecting civilians and stopping the forced displacement.
