General

Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance today concluded the first edition of the Islamic Values Forum in Riyadh. Held under the theme 'Enduring Values for a Better Life,' the forum featured three scholarly sessions and three training workshops that addressed tools for values influence, digital innovation in the service of values, and the development of media skills in values formation. The forum also included an accompanying exhibition, with the participation of several government entities and non-profit sector institutions, showcasing their initiatives and experiences in promoting and entrenching Islamic values in society.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum's final recommendations emphasized the importance of adopting a unified national framework to integrate Islamic and national values into government, educational, and media policies and programs, in a manner that strengthens national identity, moderation, and centrism. They also called for designing a national index to measure the impact of values in the fields of education, media, and community work, and linking it to clear performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement and to measure the developmental return of values-based initiatives.

The recommendations further stressed the need to enhance government integration and build institutional partnerships with the non-profit sector and donor institutions to ensure the sustainability of values-based work. They also called for developing the forum's accompanying exhibition into a national platform to showcase initiatives and connect them with partnership opportunities and institutional support, in addition to documenting the Saudi experience in moderation, Hajj security, and advanced services, and highlighting it globally as a leading model for integrating Islamic values with sustainable development and digital transformation.
