Islamic University and International Humanitarian Law Committee Host Training Course on Key Principles

Riyadh: The Permanent Committee for International Humanitarian Law, in collaboration with the Islamic University of Madinah, organized a training course today titled "Basic Concepts of International Humanitarian Law." The course was inaugurated by Islamic University president Dr. Saleh Alagla as part of the committee's ongoing efforts to promote awareness and understanding of international humanitarian law, its principles, and its practical applications.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the course aims to enhance knowledge of international humanitarian law and equip participants with the skills needed to apply it effectively. It covers fundamental concepts, explores the latest developments and challenges in enforcing such law during armed conflicts, and highlights the role of various actors in ensuring compliance.

Designed for military personnel, legal professionals, humanitarian and relief workers, medical staff, university professors, and students, the course features lectures, interactive discussions, and workshops led by experts and specialists in the field. These sessions provide participants with valuable insights and practical expertise in international humanitarian law.
