Washington: President of Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser met with Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Abdelhafidh on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The meeting in Washington focused on strategies to enhance development collaboration between the bank and Tunisia. According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions included a review of ongoing projects and future cooperation opportunities, particularly in the sectors of energy, trade finance, industry, and health. Both sides acknowledged the successful outcomes already achieved in these areas and expressed a commitment to continuing their partnership. The meeting also explored potential initiatives to bolster economic stability, advance digital transformation, and support rural development in Tunisia. Dr. Al Jasser commended Tunisia for its ongoing support of the IsDB, emphasizing the country's role in fostering cooperation and contributin g technical expertise across Africa through the Knowledge and Experience Exchange Program.
