Islamic Affairs Ministry Starts Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Iftar and Dates Distribution Programs in Thailand

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance initiated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift programme entailing distributing dates and copies of the holy Quran, and holding Iftar (breaking-fast) banquets in Thailand, in a ceremony attended by Saudi Ambassador to Thailand Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Suhaibani.

The envoy said that these programmes are part of the Kingdom’s endeavour to serve Islam and Muslims all over the world as part of its humanitarian work.

A number of Islamic figures in Thailand expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom for its efforts and humanitarian work in the country.

More than 55,000 Muslims will benefit from 10 tonnes of dates that will be distributed, and the Iftar programme targets 100,000 individuals. As many as 250,000 copies of the Holy Quran will be distributed as well.
