General

Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance provided 2,299,626 awareness services to pilgrims and Umrah performers, with the total number of beneficiaries reaching 2,963,204.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative was part of the second phase of the ministry's plan for Islamic awareness activities during the Umrah season. The program included daily lessons and awareness lectures in hotel prayer halls, various mosques in the central area, and at field locations around the clock in several international languages.

Pilgrims received detailed explanations of Umrah rituals, information on the rules and virtues of fasting, and guidance on the approach of moderation and balance. Additionally, religious inquiries related to acts of worship were addressed, and the virtues and sanctity of Makkah were explained. The ministry also distributed booklets and guidance publications in multiple languages, deployed digital screens with QR codes for accessing an electronic library, and provided video-call and toll-free phone services in more than 40 international languages.

These efforts underscore the integration of field services and modern technical solutions to improve organization and facilitate smooth movement within the Grand Mosque and its surroundings. The initiative also aims to promote the tolerant values of Islam and highlight the Kingdom's civilizational image in serving Islam and Muslims, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
