Islamic Affairs Ministry Launches Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ramadan Programs in Kazakhstan

Astana: In continuation of the Kingdom's efforts to serve Islam and Muslims and promote values of solidarity, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attach© at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Kazakhstan, has implemented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift program for distributing dates and providing iftar meals to fasting individuals across the country.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the iftar ceremony was held at the main reception hall of the Grand Republican Mosque in the capital, Astana, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Kazakhstan Faisal Al-Qahtani. During the ceremony, Al-Qahtani highlighted the Kingdom's pioneering humanitarian role under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in implementing the iftar program. He praised the ministry of Islamic affairs' continuous supervision and meticulous follow-up in executing the program year after year.

The Religious Attach© at the Saudi Embassy in Astana launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' program for distributing dates, with a total of 15 tons allocated this year, an increase of five tons compared to last year, benefiting approximately 60,000 individuals across 17 regions and provinces. The iftar program served around 3,000 beneficiaries in Almaty and Astana this year.

This initiative reflects the Kingdom's ongoing support for Muslims, in line with its noble mission to serve Islam and Muslims, address their needs, and strengthen ties of communication, brotherhood, and harmony with countries and peoples worldwide.
