Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attach© at the Saudi Embassy in India, conducted a ceremony on Ramadan 2, 1446 AH, at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs headquarters in the Maldives to mark the launch of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Date Distribution Program.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives Fahad Al-Dosari and the Maldivian Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed. The Date Distribution Program aims to distribute 10 tons of dates, reaching 40,000 people.
Additionally, a ceremony took place at the Islamic Center of the Maldives to inaugurate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Iftar Program in the country. This event was also attended by the Deputy Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives. The Iftar Program is anticipated to benefit 4,500 individuals during Ramadan.
The Maldivian Minister of Islamic Affairs expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia's leadership for its efforts concerning Muslim affairs and its service to the Two Holy Mosques. He also thanked the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for implementing these programs.
This Ramadan, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance plans to execute the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Date Distribution Program in 102 countries and the Iftar Program in 61 countries worldwide. These initiatives are part of the leadership's directives to serve Islam and Muslims globally.
