Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Madinah launched an awareness campaign to introduce the "Rushd" app, coinciding with the start of the Umrah season for the year 1447 AH. The campaign is part of the ministry's operational plans to serve pilgrims and visitors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the "Rushd" app offers a range of digital services, including the electronic web Quran, prayer times based on Umm Al-Qura, Qibla direction, the "Sahih Al-Istishhad' website (https://cq.moia.gov.sa/), and a multilingual 3D virtual-reality guide for Hajj and Umrah education. It also provides an Islamic e-library and other services designed to assist and educate pilgrims worldwide.
The campaign is being rolled out in key locations frequently visited by pilgrims in Madinah, including major historic mosques and those around the Prophet's Mosque. It aims to familiarize users with the app and its services to enhance their spiritual journey.
