Islamic Affairs Ministry in Madinah Launches Multilingual Umrah Awareness Campaign

Madinah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Madinah has launched an awareness campaign to educate pilgrims on Umrah rituals using multilingual virtual reality in grand mosques.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign aims to instruct visitors and worshippers at grand mosques on the correct performance of Umrah rituals and to minimize common mistakes. It features an innovative mobile application that utilizes 3D models and virtual reality (VR) technology, offering virtual tours that simulate the actual experience in the Grand Mosque. This immersive learning environment helps alleviate many challenges pilgrims may face during their pilgrimage.

This initiative is part of a broader series of awareness programs implemented by the ministry as part of its operational plans for the 1447 AH Umrah Season. The ministry aims to provide religious guidance to visitors and pilgrims in a smooth and accessible manner that respects the cultural and linguistic diversity of worshippers.
