Sofia: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance implemented the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' programs to distribute dates and provide iftar in the Republic of Bulgaria. A ceremony marking the implementation of the date distribution program was held at the Saudi embassy in Sofia in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Bulgaria Dr. Rami Al-Otaibi and Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Mustafa Alish Hadzhi.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry carried out the iftar program at Banya Bashi Mosque in the capital, attended by representatives of the embassy and members of the Bulgarian Islamic religious authority. The allocated quantity of dates totaled three tons, benefiting more than 12,000 people across various regions, while the iftar program served over 1,000 people.
The programs are implemented in line with the directives of the Saudi leadership and as part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to serve Islam and Muslims and to promote the values of solidarity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.
