Islamic Affairs Ministry Enhances Pilgrim Guidance with Digital and Field Support in Arafat

General

Arafat: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance is intensifying its comprehensive advocacy and awareness efforts in Arafat for pilgrims on the Day of Arafah. Leveraging a blend of modern technology and extensive field presence, the ministry has deployed teams and resources to deliver multilingual awareness messages and answer inquiries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, strategically located awareness booths, including six at Jabal Al-Rahmah and three at Namirah Mosque, offer printed materials, direct Q and A, and visual/audio communication with preachers for rapid and accurate religious guidance.

At Namirah Mosque, 125 digital screens broadcast over 700,000 multilingual awareness messages, educating pilgrims on rituals and etiquette, while six video communication devices facilitate direct religious inquiries with qualified preachers.

A free telephone service also allows pilgrims to remotely connect with preachers who answer inquiries from across the Kingdom, significantly expanding access to guidance. Over 200,000 copies of books and brochures on Hajj rulings are being distributed across Arafat booths.

Complementing this, the ministry is broadcasting over 15 million multilingual SMS messages to pilgrims' phones on the Day of Arafah alone, part of a larger plan to send over 100 million messages throughout the Hajj season, ensuring continuous guidance.
