Islamic Affairs Ministry Completes Religious Training Course in Maldives

Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attach© at the Saudi Embassy in India, has successfully concluded a three-day foundational course on the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. This course was aimed at training imams, preachers, and muezzins and was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments of the Maldives at the Islamic Center in Mal©. More than 120 individuals, including imams, preachers, muezzins, and Islamic studies students, benefited from this training.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a ceremony was held to mark the conclusion of the course. During the event, Maldives Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, expressed his gratitude towards the leadership of Saudi Arabia, acknowledging its steadfast support for Islamic initiatives and its service to Muslims across the globe.

Dr. Saeed highlighted that the course serves as a significant educational milestone in the Maldives, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of imams, preachers, and Islamic educators. He also noted that it signifies the robust fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, which are underpinned by a shared commitment to advancing Islamic knowledge and teachings.

At the end of the ceremony, participants were awarded certificates of participation, marking the successful completion of the course.
