Islamic Affairs Minister Engages with Marrakesh Scientific Councils

Marrakesh: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met with the presidents and members of the scientific councils of the Marrakesh Region. The meeting was attended by Ahmed Toufiq, Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of Morocco, and Farid Chourak, Wali (Governor) of the Marrakech-Safi Region. This significant gathering took place at the Mohammed VI Administrative and Cultural Complex for Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh asserted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under its prudent leadership, is deeply committed to serving Islam and Muslims globally. He stated that Saudi Arabia presents a model of moderate Islam, grounded in the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

He further elaborated on the Kingdom's dedication to the Two Holy Mosques and the sacred sites, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia provides extensive services to pilgrims from the moment they arrive. These services encompass health, security, and guidance, ensuring that pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

Additionally, the minister highlighted the crucial role that scholars play in maintaining the principles of mercy and justice, as well as in fostering unity and cohesion based on the core tenets of Islamic faith.
