Islamic Affairs Minister Engages with Delegation Leaders at ASEAN Conference

Bangkok: The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, convened with leaders from delegations attending the third Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) "Khair Ummah" Conference. The event was held in Bangkok and organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegations included representatives from the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, and Vietnam. The leaders expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's efforts in serving Islam and its followers. They highlighted the Kingdom's dedication to the Two Holy Mosques, as well as its support for pilgrims, worshippers, and visitors, reflecting its leading role in global Islamic initiatives.

The delegates commended the Ministry for hosting the conference and acknowledged Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting tolerance while opposing extremism and hatred. The discussions during these meetings touched on several topics of mutual interest, with an emphasis on Islamic affairs.
