Riyadh: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and General Supervisor of Local and International Quran Competitions Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh stated that the Fourth International Holy Quran Competition for the Balkan Countries demonstrates Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to serving the Holy Quran. The competition emphasizes supporting its memorizers, promoting values of moderation and tolerance, and advancing principles of mercy, peace, and coexistence. According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh's remarks were delivered in a recorded address during the closing ceremony held in the Balkans. The event was organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in collaboration with the Islamic Religious Community of North Macedonia in Skopje. The competition witnessed participation from 200 male and female contestants representing 29 countries. These contestants competed across five distinct categories, showcasing their memorization and interpretation skills of the Holy Quran.
