ANKARA: The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group has announced a collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology to push forward the development of sustainable organized industrial zones. This effort will be facilitated through IsDB's regional hub in Trkiye.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is in line with Trkiye's 12th Development Plan (2024-2028) and the Industry and Technology Strategy 2030. These plans aim to promote sustainable industrial growth and achieve critical socio-economic goals, including reaching net-zero emissions by 2053.

The partnership is part of the Country Engagement Framework (CEF) for Trkiye, which was launched last year and covers the 2024-2026 period. The CEF seeks to group industrial enterprises within specific zones that offer advantages such as minimizing the environmental impact of industrial operations.
