Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid affirmed the importance of reinforcing relations with Turkiye in multiple fields, particularly the economic, trade and environmental areas and developing them further to achieve the common interests.
During his meeting on Tuesday with the Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Polat who is visiting Iraq, Rashid pointed to the importance of persistent cooperation and coordination, especially in water file to enhance understanding, noting the significance of security and stability for the two countries.
For his part, Polat underscored his country’s keenness to solidify relationship with Iraq in multiple fields and solve the lingering issues through dialogue. He pointed out that Turkiye intends to upgrade trade and economic cooperation with Iraq.
