Iraq Evacuates 288 Nationals from Sudan

Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Monday that 288 Iraqi nationals were evacuated from Sudan.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al Sahhaf said in a statement that the ministry received 75 appeals from Iraqis in Sudan requesting evacuation.

Since the outbreak of clashes in Sudan, an Iraqi citizen was killed and a woman injured, Iraqi sources said.

Several countries had earlier announced evacuations of their nationals and nationals of other countries from Sudan.
