Dakar: On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih participated in the Invest in Senegal Forum 2025 (Fii Senegal 2025), held on Tuesday in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, leading a high-level delegation of public and private sector representatives, as well as prominent business and financial leaders.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom is participating as Guest of Honor in Fii Senegal, held under the patronage of Senegal's President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The event brings together many heads of state, ministers, finance and investment leaders, and chiefs of international financial and investment institutions, alongside major investors from across Africa.
Delivering a speech at the forum's official opening, Al-Falih congratulated the Senegalese president on organizing this event, which attracts global attention to investment opportunities in Senegal. He also expressed his gratitude for selecting the Kingdom as Guest of Honor.
Al-Falih conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also extended their sincere wishes for the forum's success and for it to mark a new chapter of partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Senegal, as well as between Africa and the rest of the world.
'The Republic of Senegal stands out as a promising and pioneering investment destination in Africa,' Al-Falih stated, highlighting the country's political and legislative stability and its strategic location on the Atlantic Ocean, which makes it a natural gateway linking West African and European markets.
The investment minister emphasized that the Kingdom views Senegal as a key strategic partner in Africa and an ideal choice for building the future. He noted that Africa possesses vast human and natural resources and promising markets, placing it today at the center of global investment and economic integration priorities.
Saudi Arabia's participation in Fii Senegal as Guest of Honor represents an opportunity to expand Saudi investments in Senegal, particularly in vital sectors such as seawater desalination using renewable energy, photovoltaic solar energy, and other strategic areas, the minister stated.
Al-Falih also underscored Saudi Arabia's ongoing comprehensive transformation under Saudi Vision 2030. This transformation aims to achieve economic diversification, human empowerment, enhanced sustainability, and the development of foreign investments in partnership with the leading Saudi private sector and global and regional investment funds.
He added that reports on Saudi Vision 2030 and its programs highlight the Kingdom's progress toward its development goals, with growth in attracting foreign direct investment. Al-Falih affirmed the country's strong focus on non-oil sectors, reflecting the depth of its economic transformation and international confidence in its business opportunities.
The minister invited investors and businessmen from both Saudi Arabia and Senegal to take part in this ongoing journey of success.
