INTOSAI’s 79th Meeting Concludes with Participation of Saudi Audit Bureau

Cairo: The 79th Meeting of the Governing Board of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) concluded today with the participation of President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari, who serves as the organization's Second Vice-Chair, along with several senior officials and experts from GCA. The meeting was held as part of the 25th session of the INTOSAI General Assembly, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the attendance of presidents and representatives of supreme audit institutions from member states.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, participants reviewed and discussed several key topics and reports, including the governing board chairman's report on the organization's activities and achievements since its 78th meeting, and the General Secretariat's report on its financial and administrative status. The board also discussed reports submitted by the chairs of the strategic goal committees.

Alangari presented two reports outlining the outcomes of the work of the INTOSAI Policy, Finance, and Administration Committee (PFAC), which he chairs, and the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation Steering Committee (IDSC), in which he serves as chair of the INTOSAI side. Both reports highlighted the committees' roles in achieving the organization's strategic objectives.

The INTOSAI General Assembly will commence tomorrow to discuss several key agenda items and adopt recommendations and decisions aimed at strengthening the efforts of supreme audit institutions worldwide in promoting transparency and accountability.
