Riyadh: International Human Rights Day, observed annually on December 10 by the international community, focuses this year on the theme 'Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials,' reaffirming the enduring value of human rights and underscoring that they remain humanity's most reliable path forward. The occasion highlights the importance of cooperation among governments, institutions, and civil society to protect fundamental rights through initiatives and programs aimed at raising awareness and advancing supportive policies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia has achieved notable progress in the field of human rights, contributing to its advancement in international human rights indicators and rankings. Human rights constitute one of the core mandates outlined in the statute of the Human Rights Commission, which works to promote and disseminate human rights awareness through educational, training, and media institutions, and is responsible for shaping national policies that support and strengthen awareness in cooperation with relevant national bodies.

The Kingdom remains a key contributor to global efforts to protect, promote, and advance human rights through its humanitarian and development initiatives and its consistent policies aimed at fostering peace and stability for people around the world.
