Qassim: A delegation from the International Date Council visited Qassim Region, where it reviewed the best practices in the production, processing, and marketing of dates.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, the delegation toured the food city in Unaizah and examined export efforts, in addition to reviewing programs and initiatives that support the private sector and boost investments in the dates industry. Discussions also addressed avenues of cooperation to foster agricultural growth and boost the global presence of dates in international markets.
The program also included participation in the Unaizah International Dates Season, which represents a marketing and investment platform that brings together producers, investors, and decision-makers. The delegation reviewed leading experiences reflecting the growing role of international trade in dates and the importance of promoting them globally. The visit further covered the Buraidah Dates Carnival and auction, where the delegation explored investment and marketing opportunities that enhance the status of dates in local and international markets.
The delegation concluded its program with field visits to model agricultural projects in the region and model date factories, aiming to promote the exchange of expertise among member states, support innovation in agriculture and manufacturing, and expand the international presence of dates as a strategic food and investment product.
