Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior has announced that a fine of up to SAR100,000 will be levied on individuals who transport or attempt to transport visit visa holders to Makkah and the holy sites during the Hajj season, spanning from Dhu Al-Qi'dah 1 to Dhu Al-Hijjah 14.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry will also seek judicial approval to confiscate any land vehicle used in such activities, provided that the vehicle is owned by the transporter, a partner, or an accomplice. This measure is intended to deter individuals and groups from violating the regulations set forth for the Hajj season.

The ministry has urged the public to adhere to Hajj regulations and instructions, which aim to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims. This compliance allows pilgrims to perform their rituals smoothly and peacefully. The ministry also encourages the public to report any infringements of these regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, or 999 in other regions across the Kingdom.
