Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior has urged the public to report anyone who transports or attempts to transport individuals in violation of Hajj regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Region, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry also announced that a financial penalty of up to SAR100,000 will be imposed on anyone who transports or attempts to transport visit visa holders with the intent of taking them to Makkah or the holy sites, from Dhu al-Qidah 1 until the end of Dhu al-Hijjah 14. In addition, any ground transportation vehicle proven to have been used to transport visit visa holders of any type will be confiscated.
The ministry called on everyone to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions, which are designed to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims and allow them to perform their rituals with ease.
