Jeddah: Saudi Minister of Interior and Supreme Hajj Committee Chairman Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz expressed his appreciation for the support and attention given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He acknowledged their continuous directives to provide all means necessary to serve pilgrims and enable them to perform their rituals with ease.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Abdulaziz made these remarks during a visit to the Makkah Route Initiative's hall at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. He was accompanied by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz. During the visit, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud was informed about the achievements of the Makkah Route Initiative, which is part of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The initiative aims to provide the highest level of service and convenience for pilgrims by completing their entry procedures into the Kingdom at airports in their home countries. It facilitates direct transfer to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah upon arrival. Since its inception, the initiative has served over one million beneficiaries and expanded to include 12 airports across eight countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Morocco, Trkiye, C´te d'Ivoire, and the Maldives.
