Interior Minister Evaluates Special Emergency Forces’ Hajj Security Preparations

Riyadh: Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz reviewed the readiness of the Special Emergency Forces (SEF) today to carry out their duties as part of the security and military units participating in this year's Hajj mission.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Abdulaziz was briefed on the unit's efforts in managing crowd movement and organizing the stoning ritual at Jamarat in accordance with the Hajj security plan. He also highlighted the role of the forces in maintaining public order and ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims.

During the visit, Prince Abdulaziz also reviewed the latest development projects at the Jamarat Facility, aimed at enhancing pilgrim safety and crowd flow management. These developments include the preparation of six auxiliary service buildings and 11 escalator structures housing 386 escalators, as well as moving walkways and air-cooling systems, as part of a broader project to reduce heat stress in the eastern plaza of the facility.
