Riyadh: Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and Iraqi Minister of Health and Chair of the Supreme Committee for Drug Control Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between their respective ministries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU is focused on the field of combating the illicit trafficking and smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and chemical precursors. This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iraq in addressing the challenges posed by drug trafficking and related issues.
