Speaking at a lecture titled "Four Decades of Achievements Toward Integration and Confronting Challenges" at the National Defense College in Oman, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi highlighted the remarkable progress made by the GCC in various fields, stressing that that integration and cooperation among GCC member states set a regional and international standard for success.
Albudaiwi talked about the reasons GCC was created and its objectives, and detailed its accomplishments so far and future aspirations. He stressed that the council leaders have consistently focused on overcoming challenges, encouraging joint efforts, and ensuring the well-being and security of their countries' citizens.
He highlighted the GCC's tangible achievements in advancing integration and cooperation, particularly in economic areas, and emphasized the ambitious steps being taken to further these achievements.
Albudaiwi said that GCC has become a key strategic regional and international player with the curial role of addressing global challenges, supporting stability, and fostering development.
He further outlined how the council member states navigated a dynamic regional and international environment by adopting unified strategies aimed at promoting security, stability, and sustainable development.
