Riyadh: The Insurance Authority signed today a cooperation agreement with HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund company specializing in delivering integrated artificial intelligence capabilities globally. The agreement aims to support the adoption of cognitive data centers and AI across Saudi Arabia's insurance sector and was signed on the sidelines of LEAP 2026.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement focuses on exploring HUMAIN's AI computing capabilities, products, services, and technology ecosystem to support innovation and the adoption of artificial intelligence in the insurance sector.
Under the agreement, the Insurance Authority and HUMAIN will work together to enable secure access to insurance sector data and HUMAIN's AI products and services, in support of the Authority's strategic priorities. The collaboration will also explore opportunities to apply artificial intelligence to priority use cases within the sector.
The CEO of the Insurance Authority Eng. Naji Al-Faisal Al-Tamimi emphasized that the agreement represents an important step in supporting the implementation of the National Insurance Sector Strategy and its strategic objectives, which focus on modernizing and unifying digital infrastructure, accelerating innovation, and advancing the adoption of advanced technologies across the sector.
Al-Tamimi further explained that the collaboration will contribute to developing a sector-wide data and artificial intelligence strategy for the insurance sector, ensuring data quality, enabling advanced analytics, facilitating the secure sharing of data, and raising standards of digital governance and data protection.
For his part, CEO of HUMAIN Tareq Amin said: 'Insurance is a sector where data and artificial intelligence can deliver real impact at scale, from improving customer experience and operational efficiency to enabling smarter, more data-driven services.
