Buraidah: The 16th Klija Festival, held at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah, provided artisans, craftsmen, and families in the cottage industry with a platform to showcase their handcrafted products and traditional crafts. Organized by the Qassim Chamber, the festival featured a variety of innovative products celebrating Saudi heritage.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during an interview, certified traditional artist Basma Al-Muqbel discussed her craft of creating decorative shields and household items, such as trays and graters, from wood, incorporating modern Saudi designs. She shared her journey from hobbyist to professional artisan, highlighting her participation in local and international workshops.
Artisan Nadia Al-Rashidi showcased her expertise in crafting traditional wooden doors using natural materials sourced from the region. She emphasized the distinct architectural styles of doors from different parts of Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, Saada Al-Harbi shared her experience in producing dairy products and traditional dishes made from sheep's milk.
