Dhahran: Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs Engineer Khalil Ibrahim Ibn Salamah launched the second phase of initiatives under the industrial integration between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The announcement was made as the vice minister headed a meeting with a Bahraini delegation on the sidelines of the Saudi Industry Forum (SIF 2025), held at the Dhahran Expo.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the second phase focuses on establishing specific targets, including enhancing intra-trade of industrial goods, attracting industrial investments, and ensuring integration in industrial infrastructure and supply chains. It also aims to identify a list of export opportunities for non-oil commodities and facilitate procedures for exporters and investors.
The participants reviewed the achievements of the first phase of industrial integration between the two countries, which included the activation of the Future Factories Program in industrial facilities in both nations. The first phase also sought to ensure these facilities' transition from reliance on labor-intensive processes to adopting advanced industrial solutions, as well as enhance processing of local products and simplify procedures for exporters.
As part of the implementation of the second phase of bilateral industrial integration, the vice minister inaugurated today the Bahraini investor services office at Dammam 3rd Industrial City. The office will work on attracting qualitative industrial investments and provide all industrial investment services to investors. Bahraini Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro attended the office launch.
