Dammam: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) Board President Bandar Alkhorayef visited the first and second industrial cities in Dammam to inspect new industrial projects, accompanied by MODON CEO Majed Al-Argoubi.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the tour began with a visit to two projects inaugurated by Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. The minister inspected the multi-story factories project in the first industrial city, which features 78 industrial units across eight floors. These units offer flexible spaces ranging from 156 to 251 square meters.

Alkhorayef also toured the ready-built factories project in the second industrial city. This project includes 84 pre-built factories, ranging from 700 to 1,500 square meters, designed to support small and medium enterprises across different sectors.

During the visit, the minister officially opened the Quantum Switch Tamask (QST2) data center in the second industrial city. This data center, constructed on a site exceeding 20,000 square meters with a capacity of 9 megawatts, marks a significant enhancement to the region's digital infrastructure.

Additionally, Alkhorayef inaugurated the expansion of the PepsiCo factory, a development that will boost the food production capacity in the Eastern Region.
