Industry Minister Holds International Ministerial Meetings at Global Industry Summit in Riyadh

Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of high-level bilateral meetings with ministers from several participating countries on the sidelines of the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held in Riyadh. The discussions focused on boosting economic ties between the Kingdom and those countries, as well as advancing joint investments in the industrial and mining sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meetings included discussions with Portugal's Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion Manuel Castro Almeida, Mozambique's Minister of Economy Basilio Muhate, Malta's Minister of Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, Togo's Minister of Economy and Strategic Monitoring Badanam Patoki, and Togo's Minister-Delegate for Investment Promotion and Economic Sovereignty Dr. Arthur Lilas Trimua.

Alkhorayef invited the ministers to attend the fifth edition of the Future Minerals Forum, to be hosted by Riyadh in January 2026. The event serves as an important global platform for discussing the future of the mining and minerals sector.

These meetings were held on the sidelines of the 21st UNIDO General Conference, hosted by the Kingdom for the first time. The conference addresses the pillars of inclusive and sustainable industrial development, partnership building, innovation stimulation, and the empowerment of women and youth in the industrial sector.
