Riyadh, The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, organized a webinar for Canadian and Australian companies, introducing the investment opportunities in the Saudi mining sector, enablers and incentives provided to investors, and the comparative advantages of the mining investment environment, in a move aimed at accelerating the pace of exploration and exploitation of mineral resources in the Kingdom. The webinar discussed opportunities for mining exploration in the mineralized belts of the Jabal Sayid and Al-Hajjar sites, which cover an area of 4,788 square kilometers and contain metals, including gold, copper, and zinc. It also introduced the exploration licenses offered within the sixth round of competition for mining licenses, which covered an area of 1,000 square kilometers. Also presented were the competition rounds scheduled for the remainder of 2024, while the Exploration Enablement Program (EEP) was shed light on; the program aims to support a nd facilitate exploration activities by providing the necessary resources and data to investors and exploration companies. The comparative advantages of the mining investment environment in the Kingdom, the legislation and government policies supporting investment, and the encouraging returns achieved by investment in the Saudi mining sector were also discussed.
