Indian Minister of External Affairs Receives GCC Secretary General

New delhi: Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Dr. S. Jaishankar received Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi on Tuesday in New Delhi, during the secretary-general's official visit to the Republic of India.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between the GCC and the Republic of India and discussed ways to strengthen them. They also explored proposals in various fields to serve mutual interests. Discussions included preparations for the second Joint Ministerial Meeting between the GCC states and the Republic of India, scheduled for later this year.

The two sides exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments. They emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to maintain security and stability in the region and worldwide.
