India Showcases Handicraft Heritage at INDEX Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: India is participating with a pavilion at INDEX Saudi Arabia, held from September 9 to 11, 2025, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on the sidelines of the exhibition, an interactive session titled "India: The Ideal Destination for Handicraft Sourcing" was organized. During this session, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom, highlighted India's handicraft sector. He noted that this participation comes in cooperation with the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and the Indian Ministry of Textiles.

The Indian pavilion at INDEX Saudi Arabia features handicraft exporters, showcasing the country's artisanal heritage through live demonstrations of traditional crafts. These include metal engraving, clay crafts, coconut shell crafts, Kantha embroidery, and handicrafts made from natural fibers.
