Paris: The Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), in partnership with the World Bank and Takamol Holding, hosted a training program on advanced strategies for labor market transformation, with participants from 25 countries, at the World Bank headquarters in Paris from October 29 to 31.

According to Saudi Press Agency, inaugurated by Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, the training program is part of the Global Labor Market Academy's inaugural cohort. The academy was launched during the second edition of the GLMC in Riyadh in January 2025. It aims to enhance policymakers' capabilities in global labor markets, address employment challenges, and promote sustainable economic growth.

The first cohort, comprising 36 participants representing labor market decision-makers from 25 countries, aims to exchange knowledge and review best practices for developing labor markets amid rapid economic and technological changes.

The program focused on three main pillars: the importance of labor policies linking employment incentives with productivity, upskilling to meet evolving labor market needs, and enhancing institutional learning to translate research into actionable policies.

International experts from the World Bank and France Travail, the French government agency responsible for employment, moderated program sessions. They provided insights on productivity, innovation, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and the impact of artificial intelligence on future jobs.
